Daniel Craig Gets Walk of Fame Star

Just in time for the US release of No Time to Die, Daniel is set to receive his star in the Hollywood Walk of Fame on October 6th! A ceremony will be held at 6:30 PM PT, wherein co-star Rami Malek will speak, along with Bond producers Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli as guest speakers. We are so happy to see Daniel receive such an honor, it’s very well-deserved!

The 007 actor will get his star in a ceremony on Wednesday, Oct. 6, at 6:30 p.m. PT. His will be the 2,704th star on the Walk of Fame, and the fourth James Bond actor to receive the honor after David Niven, Roger Moore and Pierce Brosnan. Barry Nelson also played Bond in a TV movie and received a star during his career. Craig’s star will be placed next to Moore’s, located at 7007 Hollywood Boulevard.

Rami Malek, who plays the villain Lyutsifer Safin in the upcoming “No Time to Die,” Craig’s fifth and final outing as Bond, will speak at the Walk of Fame ceremony. Bond franchise producers Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli will also serve as guest speakers. The Walk of Fame event will be emceed by Nicole Mihalka, Hollywood Chamber of Commerce chair.

“Daniel Craig is a British cultural icon, as is James Bond, the man he has portrayed in five 007 films. We are thrilled to place his terrazzo Walk of Fame star next to the star of another famed actor who also portrayed James Bond, Roger Moore. Fans will be thrilled when they see that their stars are appropriately located at 7007 Hollywood Boulevard,” said Ana Martinez, producer of the Hollywood Walk of Fame, in a statement.

Daniel Craig Heads to Broadway in Macbeth

Daniel is set to return to Broadway in the starring role of Shakespeare’s Macbeth, with Ruth Negga as Lady Macbeth next spring. The production will run for 15 weeks and will be directed by Tony Award winner Sam Gold. Performances will begin on March 29, 2022 at Broadway’s Lyceum Theatre, with an official opening on April 28, 2022. Ticket presales will start on October 6th, with general ticket sales starts on October 8th.

“Daniel is not only a great film actor but a magnificent theatre actor as well,” said Macbeth producer Barbara Broccoli, who also produces the James Bond film franchise that featured Craig in the title role. “I am thrilled that he will be supporting the return of Broadway playing this iconic role with the exquisitely talented Ruth Negga making her Broadway debut and under the expert direction of Sam Gold.”

Gold, who was Tony-nominated in 2017 for A Doll’s House, Part 2 and won the award in 2015 for Fun Home, said in a statement, “I am beyond thrilled to be participating in this historic season as theatre re-emerges, and to be working with two such masterful actors on one of dramatic literature’s most challenging and epic dramas.”

No Time to Die Moves to October

MGM has decided to once again delay the release of the 25th Bond film, No Time to Die. Previously set to open on April 2nd, it is now set to hit the big screen on October 8th. It’s going to be another long wait, but until then, stay safe everyone.

‘No Time to Die’ Pushed to April 2nd

Just over a month before its release date, MGM, Universal, and Bond producers have announced that No Time to Die is being delayed for a second time. It is now scheduled for release on April 2nd, 2021.
